Redline Designs is a New Jersey-based company that specializes in graphic and website designs. The company began in the fall of 1996 by Brent Whiting after finding his niche in the field of design. Built from the ground up, Brent turned his basement into a mini design studio with his one computer, zip drive, scanner, and laser printer.
Time went on and after about a year of designing for local companies while working a regular 9 to 5 job in an insurance company, Brent decided to learn how to design websites because he thought he could do better than what he saw on the internet. So after teaching himself the HTML code and designing for the 'net, he created his first site, the Redline Designs site. Immediately a friend of his working in Universal Records asked about his internet skills for an upcoming Rakim website. That's when everything took off for Redline Designs.
Since that time in the fall of 1997, Redline Designs is credited with designing websites for Canibus, Rakim, Cash Money Records, Dru Hill, Pras, Island Black Music, Oxygen Fitness Club, Urban Expedition, Stephanie Mills, and Black InQ.
Redline Designs has been contacted by some of the entertainment industries largest companies such as RCA, Def Jam, Island Music, Universal Records, Roc-A-Fella, Jive, Sony/Columbia, and HBO.
Although it's been a long road from working in the insurance company to the current status of Redline Designs (which is going strong), it's a road Brent would not have chosen over if he had to repeat the exact same process.

Brent Whiting is the Owner, designer, and website developer of Redline Designs. He has been graphic designing since 1992 and gained interest in web development in 1997. Since then, he has connected with large corporations to design various logos, websites, and CD covers.
E. Mezene El (Mez) met Brent in college in 1993 and became fast friends. It wasn't until years later, they collaborated together on Redline Designs. Mez has been marketing Redline Designs and is in the stages of development to become a website developer. He encodes audio for sites and gives pertinent suggestions for many websites. Expect Mez's input and coding on many future sites.
